We’ve just reported about iPhone 4 launch in UAE, now here is the details about the iPhone 4 in Saudi Arabia via Mobily and Qatar via Vodafone. Vodafone has posted the iPhone 4 price with a new discount to the original price. ie now a black iPhone 16gb will cost you QR 2850 instead of QR 3145. Careful though, QR 3145 is the normal price of the whole package and not the handset, ie phone plus QR 220 Flexi 220 on Freedom, QR 50 Mobile Internet on Freedom with 300MB traffic and a QR 25 Welcome Pack with the Micro SIM. The 32gb package is QR 3359 instead of QR 3654, same QR 295 off. Vodafone says stock is limited and pre-registration is already closed, so dont take your time.

Mobily went live on Saturday. Prepaid is SR 2699 for the 16gb and SR 3099 for the 32gb, with 250MB a month for six months. On Postpaid 99 the 16gb drops to SR 2155 and the 32gb to SR 2550 on a 12 month contract, with 200MB a month. Go up to Postpaid 399 and the 32gb is SR 250, with 2GB, 500 added minutes and 300 SMS a month.

Worth the wait ?? One guy at Mobily Tahliah in Jeddah was told he could get it Monday, but most comments we read are people walking out with the phone, Jeddah and Riyadh both. Stay tuned.

du came in with Elite Super 100 at Dh100 a month, which gets you 100 national minutes, 100 international minutes, 100 SMS and 100MB of data. Or theres the Dh25 Elite Plan with 55 minutes, 55 SMS and 5MB. Buy the iPhone on an iPlan and your data is free for 12 consecutive months. Prepaid folks, top up Dh100 and 1GB is yours the next month. Business customers get the Dh300 Business Super Plan, and the handset there is Dh699.

On the first day of Nokia World 2010 we saw Nokia playing the iPhone 4 Design video and claiming that Scot Forstall used their slogan “Connecting People”. But it sounded lame to point out that from a video about the explanation of a product. It would have made sense if Apple advertised FaceTime with slogan Connecting People. Anyway Niklas Savander had his laugh, “that still makes me chuckle” he said, and then went on to say the N8 gives great performance “no matter how you hold it”. We all know who that was for.

Google was next. Savander claimed Symbian phones outsell Android and iOS put together and that its Ovi Maps and not Google Maps thats leading in navigation, 78 countries and 46 languages was the number he gave.

And now HTC. HTC launched the Desire HD and Desire Z in London on Wednesday, while Nokia World was still on. Nokia sent a bunch of young folks with giant red balloons reading “I know where I’m going with Nokia’s Ovi Maps” to stand outside the entrance of the HTC event and handed out “HTC press conference survival kits”!! HTC told Engadget they had planned their event for the 14th and moved it to the 15th once they heard the Nokia World dates.
