Motorola RAZR Maxx To Hit Indian Shores On June 21st, RAZR V In Third Quarter

Motorola is bringing their latest smartphone the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX to India tomorrow . In a press release that was issued today, Motorola stated that the phone will be available in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand starting tomorrow. Motorola is now expanding their RAZR smartphone portfolio to the South Asian territory with this.

In India, Motorola RAZR MAXX will be priced at Rs 31,590/- which we think is a great price for the phone. The phone comes with Android 2.3.6(Gingerbread) onboard. It will receive the ICS update over the air very soon as per Motorola. The phone has a 4.3″ Super AMOLED display with 540X960 resolution. A dual core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, WiFi, BT, GPS etc. The camera is 8MP with autofocus and LED Flash. It does 1080p videos as well. The front camera is 1.3MP and does 720p videos. However, the striking feature of this phone is the battery. The phone has been equipped with a astounding 3300mAh battery that will keep you going for a really long time. No matter how hard your device, the device will surely keep you going all day long before you start hunting for a power port.

On the other hand Motorola RAZR V comes with dual core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 4.3inch screen, 8MP front facing camera that does 1080p video, a front facing camera, Ice Cream Sandwich, WiFi, BT, GPS, Radio etc. However, the phone is only equipped with a 1750mAh battery. And hence you’ll see a lesser price which is yet to be announced. The phone will be available during third quarter this year.

Microsoft Unveils A New Kind Of Tablet: Calls It Surface

Microsoft on Monday announced their brand new tablet called the Surface. Actually they announced two versions of the tablet, one which runs the Windows Pro version and the other which runs the Windows RT version. The surface tablet is just 9.8mm thick and has a magnesium casing which acts as pull out kick stand that props the tablet up. Steve Ballmer showed it off at an event in Los Angeles and called it “a whole new family of computing devices from Microsoft”.

Both versions get a 10.6 inch screen. The RT version runs on ARM and comes in 32GB and 64GB while the Pro version runs on a third generation Intel Core chip, is 13.5mm thick and comes in 64GB and 128GB. The Pro also gets a pen.

Now the coolest part is the cover. Its called the Touch Cover, its just 3mm thick, snaps on with magnets and has a pressure sensitive keyboard built into it. There is a thicker Type Cover as well with real moving keys.

Pricing?? Microsoft isnt telling yet. They say it will be announced closer to launch and should be competitive with other ARM tablets and Ultrabooks. The RT version comes out when Windows 8 does and the Pro follows about 90 days later. We cant wait to get our hands on one!! Stay tuned.

Apple Airs Yet Another iPad Ad Featuring The New iPad

Apple has just aired a new iPad ad today. The new ad walks you through different different activities that you can do with the iPad. And of course, Apple is trying to tell you how the new amazing Retina display is going really spice up the experience. Here, watch the ad for more.

The ad is called “Do It All” and its pretty much the same formula as the first new iPad ad “This Good” that Apple started airing back in March. This time we have a voice over going “Send a note. Stay informed. Catch a show. Make your point. Make a memory. Make a masterpiece. Read something. Watch something. And learn something.” and then the line that sums it all up, “Do it all more beautifully, with the Retina display, on iPad”. In between you get to see Mail, Newsstand, a TV show, a photo gallery in iPhoto, a Numbers document, some drawing and the iBooks 2 textbooks, all looking gorgeous on that screen.

If you remember, Apple started airing a similar ad for the new MacBook Pro with Retina display just last week, so clearly Retina is the big thing they want to talk about this summer. Do you like this one better than the first ad ?? Let us know in the comments.

Nokia Pureview 808 Launched India For Rs 33,899/- Officially

Nokia has finally launched the Nokia Pureview 808 officially in India. The phone was expected to enter the market a tad early, but due to some delays the launch was moved to yesterday. The good news is that it’s here. All those smartphone camera fans can now get ready to buy the phone if they are ok with Rs 33,899/- price tag. This is the MRP, so one can get it for cheaper price as well. And of course if you are willing to wait, you can get it for even better price. Price aside, Nokia Pureview 808 is an impressive smartphone. As you know, it has 41MP camera that uses the pureview technology to capture amazing pictures with huge details while still maintaining the size and resolution under decent limits. The Pureview 808 runs Symbian Belle FP1, sports a 4″ screen with Nokia’s Clear Black Display, 41MP Carl Zeiss Optics with Xenon flash, WiFi, BT, NFC, HDMI port, USB OTG, Dolby Digital Plus, GPS and a 1400mAh battery.

The camera on the phone is just amazing. However one may wonder why they should still go for a Symbian after Nokia’s own CEO Stephen Elop announced Symbian as long dead platform. It’s also surprising that why Nokia brought Pureview technology to Symbian and not to their newly wed Windows Phones which has very poor camera performance. Nokia may have plans to bring it to WP, but the question is when ?!! Nokia really doesn’t have good track record in bringing products on time to the market. Besides a 1400mAh battery seems a bit less comparing to other high end phones in the same segment from other brands. Then again Symbian usually delivers good battery life and the OS’ battery management is impressive. However, one may have to actually use the device themselves to see the actual performance of the phone after all the photoshoots with this amazing camera.

Flipkart already has the phone listed on their website with Cash On Delivery. So are you getting this camera beast ??

This Could Be The Next iPhone !!!

Now that Macs and iOS is announced, its the time of the iPhone. We don’t usually post every little iPhone rumor we see. But this one looks very convincing. Apple Insider has posted the images of what it appears to be the next iPhone thats expected to release this fall. The images look very real and imaging experts say, there are no traces of Adobe Photoshop elements in the picture. And surprisingly, the back casing seen on this iPhone perfectly matches the previously leaked cases last week.

The phone seems to have two types of material on the back now. The top which covers the camera and flash, and the bottom now to boasts a glossy material while  the space between them is mainly matte looking material. The form factor looks the same but slightly taller.

The bottom has received some changes. We can now see bigger speakers and smaller dock. The 3.5mm headphone jack seem to have been moved to the bottom of the phone from the usual top spot. The guys who usually bring these kind of photos are usually very smart. They may have tampered the images. So let’s not fully fall for it. If this was the real deal, then what’s your opinion about the design ? Did you like it ?? Got your credit card in your hand already ??
