The Mobile Store has listed on their site that HTC one S will be available on June 8 for a price of Rs 33,000/-. The Mobile Store is already taking pre-orders for the device. So if you want to grab it first, place your order now. The HTC One S is the immediate younger sibling of the HTC One X. HTC announced all three One series phones at MWC back in February, and the One X and One V reached India in April at Rs 42,999 and Rs 19,999 MRP (best buy Rs 37,899 and Rs 18,299). The One S sits right in the middle of the pack.
If you were wondering what you get for Rs 33,000, the One S packs a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED display with 540 x 960 resolution, a 1.5GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB RAM and 16GB storage with no memory card slot. Camera is 8MP with 1080p video recording and theres a VGA one on the front. It runs Android 4.0 ICS with Sense on top and has a 1650mAh battery. The best part though is the body. Its an aluminium unibody thats just 7.8mm thin.
Rs 33,000 does look a bit steep when the One X is going for around Rs 37,899 on the street, but we’re guessing the street price will drop a bit once its actually in stores. We’ll keep you posted on the official launch, so stay tuned!!
