Evernote has been one of the famous services ever. To those who are new to this term, here is what the company says about it. “Use Evernote to save your ideas, things you see, and things you like. Then find them all on any computer or device you use. For free”. Yep, it sure is a very needful app for everone. But so far they had clients for almost all the platforms including pc, mac, windows mobile, blackberry, sony ericsson, android etc. And yeah, symbian users have been left out. But not anymore. Recently, they posted an app on their website optimized for Nokia n97. The app lets you create notes, record audio notes, take snapshots or even upload files.
We tested the device and it has been working great. It syncs very well, and once application starts there is no much lag in operations. However, the app eats a lot of ram. We saw some unexpected shutdowns due to short of system memory in some extreme cases.
We also tested the app on a nokia 5800 to see if it would work well on other s60v5 phones and luckily yes. If you have been dying to get something other than the timy mobile site of evernote, you have a Go. But the only making text notes works as for now on 5800. Touching on the option to take snapshot or to record audio does not work. So is the case with file uploads. File upload works upto selecting files but it cant upload anything. So you may want to prevent using those options. Still its a better than nothing option for users without n97.

The app is around 3mb and can be downloaded from here.
UPDATE
Recently I sent a report to evernote about the bugs and the good folks there solved the issues. Now snapshots, audio recording and file uploads work pretty well. Its a powerful app now. Both files are available at the link above
PS: You dont have to uninstall evernote. Just install the file and evernote will run without any problem. If you face any, feel free to restart and try or head to our forum and let us know there.
We will soon post a video demo here. So stay tuned.
