News, just the way you wanted
Hey all, we finally got our hands on the Nokia N8. Nokia N8 is the best Multimedia smartphone from Nokia. With its 12mp camera, HD video recording, HDMI out, USB on the go, AMOLED capacitive screen, 16gigs storage plus slots for memory card, you have nothing more to ask from N8. Here’s the unboxing and quicklook of the hardware.
Nokia N8 retails for $550 approximately for a sim free unit.
It’s a moment of joy here for us. If you are a frequent reader you must have noted that we got a new theme this year. Now a new logo too. We’ve been working with some really creative people for the past few days and we’ve seen a couple of entries. Although it was difficult to choose one, we finally made our minds on this.
A simple and elegant design. Something that we are a big fan of. The logo represents the site name and at the same time an icon that’s going to be our mark of identity on the online and offline world.
Our Facebook and Twitter page are all back up again with the new logo. Do feel free to join us there 😉
Meet The Designers
There two creative minds behind our new logo and they are:
Aldritch Varghese from India who is a final year Electronics and Communication Engineering student. He has great passion for designing, not to mention his interest in architecture. He is also great music lover and movie maniac. He provided us with the rough sketch for the logo which really impressed us. We then forwarded to our expert designer from Poland.
Jaroslaw Sroka is a teenager from Poland who is very passionate about technology. He keeps track of everything mobile. And a die hard Ubuntu user. He spends his leisure time on Adobe photoshop designing logos and other pictures. He is responsible for what the logo is today. We’ve exchanged plenty of emails before we arrived on the final product. He was very patient and punctual through out the process.
The entire uaescoop Team would like to thank both of your effort. And we look forward to working with you again.

Today we spoke to an officer from BSNL Head Office who was discussing the BSNL’s roadmap for this year. We asked him about the iPad plans and he said BSNL has been in talks with Apple for months on these plans which they introduced yesterday.
And he added that iPhone 4 will soon be introduced with BSNL in not less than a month’s time. The talks are really showing a positive sign, he added. But it’s not Final yet. When asked about data plans, he said what applies for iPad, applies for iPhone 4 too.
When asked if the iPhones will be locked with contract, he said, “Can’t Comment Now”.
With massive success of BSNL in 3G and the experience of service they have over others, its very likely that they get the deal from Apple. Now that they have introduced iPad data plans even before iPad launched officially, it makes sense to believe that BSNL has some insight to Apple’s work plan in India.
Isn’t this really great news ? We know how long it took for iPhone 3GS to come to India. Not to mention, the poor pricing and plans from Airtel/Vodafone really ruined it. With BSNL we see some good times ahead.
Are You Excited As We Are ?
Yesterday we reported that Apple has officially launched the iPad in India, and today we are glad to announce that BSNL has introduced special data plans for the iPad.
Although I expected some private operator to give the head start to iPad plans, BSNL has yet again surprised us with the announcement. Plans are very cheap compared to what you find on the competing operators’ tariff.
If you are wondering about the normal plans that are available then you should know they also work with the iPad if you can cut a micro sim out of the existing sim. If you don’t wanna risk it, you can opt for these plans and get the micro sim that comes with it.
Macworld 2011 is going on and as usual stunning softwares and hardwares are being rolled out. iFusion is the first thing that caught our attention. We’ve seen a lot of accessories that makes iPhone pretty or more usable. But iFusion thought different and made something really cool and stunning.
