Nokia has just announced the Nokia Lumia 925. The aluminium built phone comes with Pureview technology seen on the Lumia 920 and Pureview 808. The camera is 8.7MP powered with the magic of Pureview technology that will let you take great low light images. The phone has a 4.5 inch AMOLED display with WXGA resolution, thats 1280×768, with Gorilla Glass 2 on top. Inside its a 1.5GHz dual core Snapdragon with 1GB RAM, a 2000mAh battery and 16GB storage. Vodafone gets a 32GB version.
The real story here is the body. Aluminium sides with a polycarbonate back, and it weighs 139g. The thickness depends on who you ask, some reports say 8.5mm and others say 8.8mm. Either way its thinner and lighter than the 920. The catch?? Wireless charging isnt built in anymore. You buy a thin charging shell for that.
Theres new software as well. The Nokia Smart Camera app fires off 10 shots in one go and lets you pick Best Shot, Action Shot or Motion Focus afterwards. If you were wondering whether your 920 misses out, it doesnt. Nokia says Smart Camera is coming to all Windows Phone 8 Lumias in the Amber update.
Price is €469 and it hits the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain and China in June, with T-Mobile carrying it in the US. Nothing on India or the UAE yet. Stay tuned.
