Nokia Announces Nokia 100 and Nokia 101: The Most Affordable Phones To Date
In their effort to connect the next billion consumers, Nokia launched two new dual sims to the market today. This is the fifth of its kind. As usual, the phone lets you choose which sim to use while making a call or sending a text message. In addition, the SIM manager allows users to store the settings of upto five sim cards on the phone and give each one a name and logo. Nokia says its meant for families sharing one phone.
To be exact, its the Nokia 101 thats the dual sim here. The Nokia 100 is the cheaper brother with a single sim. Both have a colour display, FM radio and a flashlight, and Nokia says the 100 is their most affordable colour display phone ever. The 101 adds an MP3 player, a 3.5mm jack, microSD support upto 16GB and a 103 phon loudspeaker which should be pretty loud!! Nokia is also claiming upto 25 days of standby on the 101.
Now for the prices. The Nokia 101 comes in Q3 for about 25 euros (USD 35) in Phantom Black and Coral Red. The Nokia 100 follows in Q4 for about 20 euros (USD 30) in Legion Blue, Festival Pink, Ocean Blue, Phantom Black and Coral Red. Both get Nokia Life Tools in selected markets and Nokia Money in India. No Indian price yet, we’ll let you know once we hear. Stay tuned.
