The famous QT based Facebook app “Kasvopus”(meaning: FaceBook) has received a minor update fixing some serious bugs. From now on, your comments will go under the right status updates. We found the bug in our first test itself and we did not test it further. Today the new version 0.9.5 seems to have fixed the “commenting wrong status” bug, though the developer Tommi Laukkanen says let him know if it still occurs.
Along with that there are a few small changes. The UI has been reworked a bit (he thanks Saurav Srivastava for the design ideas), you can now view the photo from a photo type status update, and you can open the related user’s wall straight from a notification. It cant open the related status yet though. The other useful one is a new offline access right, which should give longer token sessions so you dont have to login to Facebook everyday.
This comes just days after 0.9.4 which added friends walls and photo album browsing, based on a poll he ran. Kasvopus works on Symbian^3 phones like the N8 and on the N900, and it needs Qt 4.7.2 installed. Its still beta and buggy as the developer himself says, but its shaping up well.
