Sony Launches Xperia Z In Middle East

Sony has launched their latest flagship the Sony Xperia Z in Middle East in a special launch event held at Dubai. Sony Xperia Z described as the phone that’s got the best of Sony comes with a huge 5 inch Full HD display with 441ppi. Inside the phone, there’s a whopping 1.5GHz quad core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, MicroSD card support upto 32GB, 13.1MP rear camera that does full HD videos and HDR videos. The phone is backed by a 2330mAh which should last for a good amount time up on a full charge. We were at the launch and we’ve made this video for you. Check it out.

We’ve also taken a couple of photos of the event and the phone as well. The phone design is a master piece. It looks really gorgeous and should definitely tempt the fashion conscious people out there. The phone will be available for AED 2499 during the first week or March.

Sony Announces Their Jelly Bean Update Plans For 2012 Xperia Devices

If you’re a fan of Sony devices, you must have noted that Sony has released a bunch of Xperia devices in 2012. You may also be aware that none of these devices run Android’s latest version, Jelly Bean aka Android OS 4.1 yet. Hopefully, all devices that will be announced in 2013 will come with Jellybean installed meanwhile here’s the road map for the existing devices. 

1. Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V- Starting February through March

2. Xperia P, Xperia J and Xperia Go- Towards the end of March

3. Xperia S, Xperia SL, Xperia Ion, Xperia Arco S- Starting April through May or even later.

Some of these phones may get updates a little late depending on the customer variants and region.

Unfortunately, Sony has decided not to upgrade Xperia U, Xperia Miro, Xperia Tipo and Xperia Sola to Jelly Bean.

Apple Sells A Record Breaking 2 Million iPhone 5 In China Within 3 Days

Apple launched the iPhone 5 in China last weekend and has sold a whopping 2 million units in just 3 days. Apple iPhone 5 is currently available from China’s largest mobile service provider Unicom. The company also received 100,000 pre-orders in just one day for the same when it first went live earlier this month. Some analysts did claim that iPhone 5 wouldn’t do well as iPhone 4S sales. However, the new sales figures has broken all analysts expectations. Apple CEO Tim Cook said, “China is a very important market for us and customers there cannot wait to get their hands on Apple products.”

Apple is on an iPhone 5 launch spree to get iPhone 5 to 100 countries before the year end. And they look right on schedule. Have you bought an iPhone 5 ? Or are you getting one for Christmas ?
