Abdulla Ebrahim Al Ahmed, their Senior Vice President for Business, only told Emirates 24|7 at the Dubai launch that “Our customers can buy the Z10 smartphones from February 10”. Thats the same date Blackberry gave for the UAE at the launch, with an unsubsidized price of AED 2,599.
If you are on du, they have started taking pre-orders too, but you have to walk into one of their shops. You pay a refundable deposit of Dh200, get a voucher, and they SMS you when the phone lands. Their offers will be announced on the launch day as well. And if you cant wait for either operator, Axiom Telecom has been taking pre-bookings since a day before the launch. You pay the full Dh2,599 for the 16GB unit in black or white, and they say delivery will be between February 6 and 20.
