It was supposed to get it, but the touchscreen eats up too much memory and OS6 just didnt run well on the device, so RIM decided to drop the idea. So OS 5 is all you get.
The Torch package is an Asian one and theres no word yet on how it performs, so do let us know in the comments if you flash it. The Torch isnt alone either.
