WordPress for iOS was one of the blogging apps I really didnt care about much as it wasn’t very feature rich. But I must agree that it’s getting better these days. Today we saw a new update to the app which brings more fixe Fixes for the following issues:App doesn’t save line breaksAutosave Recovery No Longer Working, a crash on the Pages tab after deleting a page draft on the iPad, blogs protected with HTTP Authentication refusing to get added, losing content when loading other posts, media upload duplicates and more. Custom image sizes are supported now as well.
Isaac Keyet announced it on the WordPress for iOS blog and says they went after 20+ bugs and crashes, with extra testing in two areas, the Media Uploader and Post Write/Edit. The line break mess came in with 2.6.3, so thats sorted now. Uploading many pictures used to fail or crash the app, and they can upload tons of images now without it crashing. He calls 2.6.4 “the most stable release of WordPress for iOS in a long time”.
Its free, 5.2MB, runs on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and needs iOS 3.1.2 or later. 2.6.5 is already in the works with the duplicate content bug and the Pages experience on the list. Go update !!

So finally Verizon and Apple managed to sign an agreement. The Verizon iPhone 4 is here. OMG ! OMG ! OMG ! Wait a second, so what’s new ? It has the same retina display, facetime, 5MP camera and 3.5″ screen. Look no more there’s nothing else more. If its the word 4G you’ve been waiting for, keep waiting. This one runs only on Verizon’s 3G network and not on their new 4G LTE network. Tim Cook said the first generation LTE chipsets force design compromises Apple wouldnt make, and that “Verizon customers have told us they want the iPhone now”. Its a CDMA phone, which also means you cant talk and use data at the same time. Verizon says they’ll sort that out in the coming months.
What you do get is a Personal Hotspot that shares the 3G connection over Wi-Fi with upto five devices. Nice, but the hotspot goes off the moment a call comes in. The antenna has been redesigned a bit for CDMA and the volume keys are slightly offset, so your old cases may not fit.
Existing Verizon customers can pre-order on February 3rd and everyone else gets it on February 10th. 16GB is $199.99 and 32GB is $299.99 on a two year contract. Nothing changes for us this side of the world, its the same phone on one more carrier. Stay tuned anyway.
