Microsoft is reportedly almost done with their latest update for Windows Phone 7. Before you get your hopes up, let me tell you that this is only a minor update(“NoDo”) which brings cut/copy/paste and other small enhancements. Features like HTML5, multitasking will arrive only later in the Mango update according to Microsoft expert Paul Thurott.
The NoDo update should be rolled out anytime soon but consumers will get the taste of it only after their carriers rolls out after their round of testing. So that should be in no lesser than a month’s time. Mango update which may or may not be rolled out soon after NoDO update will bring HTML5 goodness to Windows Phones in addition to the update to Internet Explorer 9. Not to mention the update should also contain the silverlight package for these phones.
