We’ve heard several reports of Android 2.2 and we’ve hinted it through our twitter accounts earlier. And now the update is released to all devices.
The System upgrade version 2.09.405.8 is a 90MB download and can be updated over the air. Thanks to Android Froyo 2.2, the phone now runs much faster, thanks to the JIT compiler update. Other new features include HotSpot support, application installation to microSD cards, OpenGL ES 2.0 support, 720p video recording, Caller ID, iTunes syncing and better localization.
