Nokia Is Planning To Sell Their Headquarters In Finland

How worse can things get ?!! Once the king of smartphones, is now considering selling their head quarters at Espoo, Finland. The Finnish giant has confirmed that they’re planning to sell their head quarters as a part of their cost cutting procedures. Nokia over the years has been losing against the growth of Android and iOS. Nokia once had up to 70% of the smartphone market which now has gone down below 15%. Nokia has also cut a huge number of jobs in different segments and has shut down factories at some locations as well. However, this news came as a surprise. Nokia recently adopted Windows Phone as their major smartphone platform and has released the Lumia range of Windows Phone devices. These Windows Phones comes with exclusive Nokia features like Nokia Music, Nokia Maps and a few other Nokia apps. The devices has however failed to excel in sales mostly due to the immature OS. Nokia is now betting on Windows Phone 8, the next major release of the Windows Phone. Nokia has already announced the Lumia 920 and 820 which will the first Windows Phone 8 powered phones from the company. However, availability and price are still not known. Oh and if you’ve got your eyes set on the Nokia HQ, then you should know that this building is worth $258-$387 million, says Juha Pekka Helminen, an Ex-Nokia employee.

So, do you still use a Nokia ?? Did you see this coming ? Or are you shocked as much as we are ?!!
