The new webpage built exclusively for the Nokia Pureview 808 camera phone also features a count down timer set of a June 5th launch if no further delay is ceased. The phone was expected to be launched some time in May, but the company failed to ship it in time even after telling everyone early in May that it was coming that month itself. The site is nokiapureview.in and all it does is tick down. Nokia had said Russia and India are among the first countries to get the 808, so atleast we arent at the back of the queue.
Price is still a mystery. Nokia Indias online store had Rs 29,999 sitting in its page source a couple of weeks ago, but a spokesperson told us that was only a placeholder and the real price would come later. Europe got a 450 euro tag when the phone was announced, so somewhere around 30k here wouldnt shock us.
If you came in late, the 808 packs that 41MP sensor with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash, a 4 inch AMOLED at 640×360 under curved Gorilla Glass, 1.3Ghz processor, 512MB RAM, 16GB storage, 1080p video with Rich Recording and Symbian Belle.
