Nimbuzz For Nokia Updated: Brings Message Delivery Support & Auto Start
Nimbuzz is one of those rare software developers who continuously develops and updates their software for the Symbian platform. For a Nokia user, Nimbuzz needs no introduction. Its one of the first few softwares that you install on Day One. Today, Nimbuzz has updated their client to support more features. The new version 3.2 brings message delivery notifications. When you send a chat, you’ll see one tick once the message reaches the Nimbuzz servers and two ticks once it lands on your friend’s phone. Two ticks only means delivered though, not read. There is also a new Favorites tab next to the Contacts tab on the home screen, where you can add the friends you chat and call the most. They’ve also brought back the # shortcut. Press # and you jump right to the top of a long contact list.
And finally, Auto Start launches Nimbuzz in the background as soon as you switch on the phone. Its turned off by default, so head to Settings -> Connection -> Auto-start and turn it ON. A few annoying bugs have been fixed as well. If you bought the paid ad free version from the Ovi Store, Nimbuzz says that update should reach there by the end of this week.
Nimbuzz also crossed 50 million registered users this week, so they are definitely doing something right!! Go grab the update and let us know how it works on your phone.
