iPhone 5 To Have A New Design: Some Of The Early Case Mate Cases Suggests

Comments Off on iPhone 5 To Have A New Design: Some Of The Early Case Mate Cases Suggests

With iPhone 5 announcements a few weeks away, the rumor mill and leaks are at its full swing. According to Case Mate website iPhone 5 accessories’ page, the new case design suggests that iPhone 5 will have tapered edges and will probably be thinner. However, this page was taken down within a few minutes of the blogs picking it up, but MacRumors, TechCrunch and others grabbed the pictures before it vanished. There were around six case designs and the phone inside them looks quite different from the iPhone 4. The back is curved and tapers down on all sides, pretty much like the iPad 2, it looks like aluminium instead of glass, the phone is wider but thinner and the mute switch has moved to the right side, opposite the volume buttons. One of them was listed as the iPhone 5 Barely There Brushed Aluminum case in black and silver for $40.

The page now just has a sign up form with a note saying “The wait is almost over as the next generation iPhone 5 / iPhone 4S will be released in the coming weeks”. Case Mate told iPhone in Canada they are not commenting on this. So we dont know if they really know something or just went by the same leaked drawings the Asian case makers have been using. Either way we should know for sure in a few weeks. Stay tuned!!
