HTC has finally announced the HTC One Mini which has been making its appearance over the last week through several leaks. Today, the company decided to go official with it. Although announced now, the device will only ship during August in select markets and globally in September. HTC has kept the iconic HTC One design intact, so its the same aluminium unibody with polycarbonate edges and the dual front facing BoomSound speakers. The display is a 4.3 inch 720p this time, down from 1080p on the HTC One, and the phone measures 132 x 63.2 x 9.25mm and weighs 122g.

Inside there is a 1.4GHz dual core Snapdragon 400 with 1GB RAM and 16GB storage, and no microSD slot. The camera is the same 4MP Ultrapixel shooter with Zoe and Video Highlights, but HTC has dropped the optical image stabilization and the IR blaster. Battery is 1800mAh. Software wise its Android 4.2.2 with Sense 5 and BlinkFeed. It comes in black and silver.

Peter Chou says the device “embodies everything that makes the HTC One a success on a smaller but equally eye-catching scale”. UK folks get it in August through EE and Phones 4U. No word on pricing yet, and nothing on India or UAE availability either. We will update you once we hear more, so stay tuned !!
