In a special event held at Dubai, HTC announced the launch of HTC One in Dubai. The phone comes with a 4.7″ Full HD display with 468ppi, a 1.7GHz quadcore processor, 2GB RAM, 32/64GB internal storage, a 4MP Ultrapixel camera, BoomSound, Blinkfeed, 2300mAh etc. The phone will be available exclusively with Du. HTC and Du have tied up for the launch and Du says its one of the first LTE phones on their 4G LTE network, so if you are on Du you can expect speeds upto 100Mbps. Both LTE and 3G versions will be sold here, in silver and black.
Coming to the price, Jon French, VP of HTC Middle East and Africa, said the phone will be priced between Dh2,300 and Dh2,700 depending on the model and the storage you pick. Thats on the higher side, but hey, its a flagship. It should be on the shelves in the UAE by the last week of March, and the rest of the region gets it about a week later. Arabic is already part of HTC’s apps so there is no excuse to delay the launch, according to Mohamed Kais Zribi, HTC’s regional director for MENA.
We’ll have more on the HTC One soon, so stay tuned!!
