Apple Releases New iPad Ad: Time To Adopt A Different Style ??

Comments Off on Apple Releases New iPad Ad: Time To Adopt A Different Style ??

We’ve seen several iPad ads before. And today Apple has released one more new ad with same old slow calm music, a guy narrating what we do with it etc. It was pretty nice and touching in the first 2-3 ads. But now I’m really bored of it. I mean come on, its not like we dont know what an iPad does by now.

The new one is called “We’ll Always” and it went on air on Sunday night in the US. Same narrator too, Peter Coyote if you were wondering. He goes “We’ll never stop sharing our memories, or getting lost in a good book… But how we do all this will never be the same.” Meanwhile you see people flipping through Photos, reading in iBooks, cooking from The Photo Cookbook, watching baseball in MLB At Bat, a Fuze Meeting call, editing in iMovie and a kid learning letters in Alphabet Fun. Theres a sneaky little nod to OS X Lion in that last bit too.

This is the fourth ad for iPad 2 after “We Believe”, “If You Asked” and “Now”. And all four are basically the same ad with different apps. I get that Apple wants to sell the apps and not the hardware specs, but seriously, a little change of style wouldn’t hurt. Go watch it and tell us if you agree or if im just being cranky !!
