Apple unveiled the iPhone 5 on September 12th at a special media event held at San Francisco this year. The latest iPhone from Apple comes with a 4 inch display breaking the tradition of sporting a 3.5 inch display which has been the standard on the iPhones for the past 5 generations. Even though the initial response for the iPhone wasn’t very positive, the sales figures on the first day told a different story. Apple received over 2 million pre-orders in the first 24 hours which is twice the sales of Apple iPhone 4S in the same period. Apple started taking pre-orders on September 14th in countries like US, UK, Germany, France, Australia and Canada.
