The wait is over. After months of beta test, iOS 5 is now available to the general public. We’ve been using it since the first developer beta, and I gotta tell you its awesome. It has made our phones really snappier and battery life has seriously improved. If you haven’t downloaded it yet, here’s what you need to do.
Step 1: Go to apple.com/itunes and download iTunes 10.5
Step 2: Connect your iOS device and perform a back up (The upgrade will wipe out the entire data from the phone)
Step 3: Hit check for update inside iTunes by selecting your iOS device.
Step 4: Download and install the update. And set up iCloud.
Now while you download, take a look at our detailed tour of iOS below. Don’t forget to subscribe to our Youtube channel here for more videos. http://bit.ly/eCWiUH
And here’s the iMessages video.
And of course here’s the iCloud.com tour.
These are the biggest changes in iOS 5. But you’ll also see many minor changes within the UI and you can also experience a huge performance improvement over iOS 4. So go enjoy your iOS 5 and let us know which feature you like the most.
