According to Sammobile, Samsung’s nearly done with a test version of the Jelly Bean update for their flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy SIII. The Galaxy SIII was released this May 2012 and came with Ice Cream Sandwich onboard. Recently, Google announced the Jelly Bean update aka Android 4.1 which brings some improved features and performance tweaks to the Android devices. All that stands between the Jelly Bean update and the Galaxy SIII is the approval from Google after they successfully test the software.
Its interesting to see brands trying to release software updates early as Android shoppers seems to consider that factor seriously while purchasing Android phones. Following the Galaxy SIII, the Galaxy SII and the widely popular Galaxy Note will also be receiving the Jelly Bean update. It’s not known when exactly this update will hit these phones. But one should see them either before the end of Q3 or as early as the beginning of Q4 2012.
